A message from Shafston College

Dear Student, we know the closure of Prestige has come as a shock, and that this is an unsettling time for you. Our goal is to help as many former Prestige students as possible continue and complete their studies, and we will do everything we can to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Shafston College has over 30 years of experience educating students in Australia. Completing this form is simply the first step, with no commitment at this stage. We will keep any new costs to a minimum, taking into account what you have already completed with Prestige, and we will be in touch with a clear plan for what comes next.

4AConsent to Access Personal Information Held by Prestige

To assess what you still need to complete, Shafston needs to access your personal file and study records held within Prestige's student and learning management systems. This includes personal information (name, date of birth, contact details); enrolment details (qualification, campus, start date); academic records (units completed, assessment submissions, results); and vocational / work placement records (if applicable). This information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Shafston's Privacy Policy.

4A — Authorisation to Access Records(Required)

I authorise Shafston College to access my personal file, academic records, and study progress information held within Prestige's student management and learning management systems, for the purpose of assessing my course progression and supporting my transition to Shafston College.(Required)

4BConsent to Credit Transfer from Prestige (if applicable)

Where you have successfully completed units of competency with Prestige, Shafston may be able to apply Credit Transfer (CT) toward your enrolment in the equivalent qualification with Shafston. This means you will not need to re-complete units you have already finished, which may reduce the time and cost of completing your qualification. Credit Transfer is subject to Shafston's assessment of your records and the equivalency of the units completed.

4CPrivacy Consent

The personal information collected in this form will be used by Shafston College to assess your expression of interest, contact you with further information, and process your enrolment. Your information will not be disclosed to any third party except as required by law or with your consent. 4DAbout Fees

However, we will not ask you to pay again for anything you have already paid Prestige for. Where you have already completed units, we will take that progress into account, and you will only be asked to pay for the units you still need to complete. In some cases, additional costs may apply, for example for units that were not paid for under your original arrangement, or for materials and administrative processing. Where any such cost applies, we will give you a full written breakdown in advance, and you will be under no obligation to proceed until you have reviewed and accepted it.

4EAbout Course Availability

We will do our best to offer you a pathway to continue your qualification, but Shafston may not be able to offer every course that was available through Prestige. If we cannot offer your specific course, we will let you know as soon as possible and, where we can, suggest an alternative pathway.

4FOur Legal Position

Shafston College has not assumed any legal liability related to incomplete training courses begun under Prestige. We are a separate provider stepping in to offer you an opportunity to continue your studies.
