Shafston International College welcomes the Consulate-General of Japan and the Queensland Police Service to conduct an information session for Japanese Shafston students on keeping safe in Brisbane. The information session is free and will be held at both our Brisbane and Gold Coast campuses.

The Gold Coast information session will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm on April 18 and the Brisbane session will be held on Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm on April 19. Each session will cover the following topics:

  1. Explanation of residence report in Brisbane
  2. Safety information by Qld Police Service
    • Introduction to traffic rules
    • Practical example of crime damage
    • Personal protection against crime

This is a great opportunity for our new Japanese students to familiarise themselves with the city’s safety precautions to ensure a safe stay in Brisbane.
